It can also be refer to a simple saying that communicates a simple truth in a given context. Each of such sayings provide just one thought, one idea, one positive direction to pursue. Most scholars have considered advertising to be a barrier to entry. Advertising builds up goodwill and reputation, and the first brand in the market may enjoy a classic first-mover advantage that will operate as a barrier to entry to later entrants. Some scholars consider advertising not to be a barrier to entry: it reduces consumer search costs and is pro-competitive. Advertising and brand reputation may contribute to rendering the undertakings product in the market, which in turn make the undertaking an unavoidable trading partner. Ironically, public relations has an image problem. It is often seen as mere publ icity, which is just one of its tools. Public relations has become a powerful and indispensable tool for management. PR practitioners insist that they do not create an image; a good reputation must be earned. Advertisement merely used paid space and time (Kapferer, 2012).For example, Burger King was forced to modify its purchase of imported beef from Central America through boycotts organized by the Rainforest Alliances. The boycotting consumers contended that the foreign production of meat for fast-food burgers was leading to deforestation practices in countries such as Costa Rica(Kapferer, 2012).
